Practical information about Megeve
Megeve in a few
Midway between the urban village and the village of altitude, known for its gentle tracks and its vast domain with a rather "family" tendency, Megève undoubtedly has wonderfully an appropriate name which is the "little Switzerland". Coming to Megeve means to stay in a traditional village without giving up the "chic" of the city.
Overlooking the Arve Valley, towering over the slopes of Arly and Arbon, Megève is one of the Haute-Savoie ski resorts that make up the vast Evasion Mont-Blanc ski area. An urban high-altitude town with a French lifestyle, this town is known for having welcomed the Rothschild family holiday resort since 1910, which made of this place a reference winter sports resort, competing with its neighboring St. Moritz in Switzerland.
As very appreciated for its ski slopes as for its "après-ski" offer, with its big hotels, its good restaurants and its generous tourist offer, Megève is a place of relaxation where the fresh air will recharge your batteries just as much as its " cozy " terraces , on which you can sit to contemplate the passage of the biggest names in the jet set.
