Magnificent 33 square meter apartment located in Megève.
ArrayIt will be perfect for a stay in the mountains.
Shops are located nearby.
Looking forward to welcoming you :)
This apartment is very functional.
Located on the 2nd floor without elevator, it includes:
- a bedroom with a double bed;
- a functional bathroom;
- a fully equipped kitchen;
- a living room with a convertible sofa.
You will particularly appreciate its brightness and its view of the mountain.
During your stay, you will have at your disposal: Ski room, Tennis court, Petanque court, Children's games, Television, Washing machine, Dryer, Hair dryer, Barbecue, Dishwasher, Oven, Raclette machine, Coffee machine, etc. Sheets and towels are provided at an additional cost.
There is free shared public parking at the foot of the tennis courts.
The accommodation is located in a quiet residence with a shared swimming pool (open from June to September, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.).
You can access the village center via a pedestrian path along the Rivière du Glapet (10 minutes on foot).
The accommodation is very functional and bright with mountain views.
You will also be able to access the Megève ski area as well as the Espace Diamant.
Access to ski areas:
1) Mont d'Arbois:
This is the most famous part of the Megève ski area. You'll find slopes for all levels and can ski depending on the weather. However, this is the busiest part of the ski area, especially during school holidays. Head up to the summit of Mont-Joly to enjoy the view of the surrounding area.
Our favorite slopes are the Black Princess, the Voltigeurs, and the Students. If you enjoy exploring the ski area, head to Saint-Nicolas-de-Véroce; it's a very pleasant walk. When the snow is plentiful, you can ski back to the village via the Calvaire slope (a pleasant walk that passes through the chalets).
Accessibility from the apartment:
• Walk to the town center and take the chamois eggs, then the Rocharbois and finally the Mont d'Arbois eggs;
• Free parking at Demi-Quartier at the bottom of the Princesse cable car;
• Take the Edmond de Rothschild road by car and go to the bottom of the Mont d'Arbois eggs;
• Take the bus from the Le Cruet stop, change at the Megève bus station to take the green line towards Côte 2000 and stop at the Mont d'Arbois cable car station.
2) Rochebrune:
Home to France's ski gondola, Rochebrune benefits from excellent snow conditions (north-facing slopes). You'll enjoy the slopes with fewer people than at Mont d'Arbois. If you're a good skier, don't hesitate to ski all the way to Cote 2000. The Stade descent slope is Megève's competition post.
Our favorite trails are A2, Jardin, Combe Allais.
Accessibility from the apartment:
• Take the bus from the Le Cruet stop to the Rochebrune cable car.
• Côte 2000 parking lot (free parking)
• Walk to the city center and take the chamois eggs then the Rochebrune eggs.
You can do the Rochebrune and Mont d'Arbois ski areas in one day. To do this, you need to take the ski bus that connects Mont d'Arbois to Côte 2000 or take the Rocharbois.
3) Jaillet:
If you're looking for slopes with panoramic views of Mont Blanc, few people, and local skiers, the Jaillet slopes are for you. However, as the area has remained relatively private, the ski lifts aren't always very modern. For a beautiful ski trip, head to La Giettaz.
Even if the slopes on the Megève side are sunny and have little snow, you can go to La Giettaz where the snow is always better.
We really like the following trails: Etoile, 7 Nains, Gypaète, Boënet, Varosses and Chamois.
Cross-country ski trails close to the cable cars.
Accessibility from the apartment:
• Take the bus from the Le Cruet stop to the Jaillet cable car
• Free parking with disc at the bottom of the cable cars
4) Espace Diamant: you are also a 5-minute drive from Praz-sur-Arly if you wish to explore this other ski/hiking area.
Accessibility from the apartment:
Parking in Praz-sur-Arly
Restaurants in the city center:
- Le Torrent: to eat a good fondue;
- The River: Ideal place for lunches/brunches;
- Le Saint Nicolas: a gourmet restaurant with a very promising young chef. With excellent menus and very reasonably priced wines;
- Le Bar des Deux Alpes: good pizzas to take away;
Have a drink:
- Le Soleil d’or: Rooftop with breathtaking view of the village;
If you want to go out later in the evening:
- La Ferme Saint-Amour: ideal place for a late dinner and dancing to music that will please everyone.
Grocery stores and wine merchants:
- L'Epicurie: caterer, wine merchant, also sells fruits and vegetables (delicious roast ham);
- Cave du Flocon de Sel: a very nice sn of wines and champagnes. They have very good Savoyard wines;
- La Cave du Mouton Rouge: excellent sn of wines and Champagnes as well;
- Maison Bello: excellent butcher shop;
- Val d'Arly Cooperative: if you like cooperatives, you will find a butcher and cheese section here.
Supermarkets and bakeries:
- Carrefour Montagne;
- Intermarché in Praz-sur-Arly;
- La Choco (various points to buy bread).
High-altitude restaurant:
We advise you to book your restaurants at the beginning of your stay.
1) Mont d'Arbois:
- Sous les Freddys: a small restaurant with a unique menu consisting of potato pancakes, salad, cold cuts, and cheeses. Prices are very reasonable for the area. The chalet is very small, so be sure to book in advance.
- Le Chalet des Grands prés: a family restaurant that uses products from their farm. The restaurant is not always open;
- Le Boitet: Emmanuel Renaut's new mountain restaurant (a 3-star Michelin chef). It boasts a terrace and magnificent views of Mont Blanc. Advance reservations are required;
2) Rochebrune:
- Le Pré Rosset: Also a family restaurant. The view of the Espace Diamant is beautiful. They raise their own cows and offer excellent meats. The tartiflette is also a must-try.
For pedestrians, you can go to Petit Lay, which is the other restaurant in the family. The terrace is well-exposed, but the welcome there is less friendly;
- Le Lac de Javen: restaurant and sandwich shop with affordable prices;
- Le Radaz: local dishes and sandwich shop.
3) Jaillet:
- La Petite Ravine: delicious omelets and good Savoyard dishes at very affordable prices. A beautiful view of Mont Blanc;
- L'Auberge du Bon Journal: A family restaurant with delicious dishes. Delicious homemade tarts for dessert.
Activities of the municipality:
- the Megève Sports Palace: Swimming pool with whirlpools/sauna/hamman, ice rink, climbing room;
- Marie's farms: massages and treatments next to the apartment;
Don't hesitate to check out the city's calendar, which is always very full (exhibitions, concerts, readings for children, etc.)
Welcome :)
